Here’s the story: The original Mother Tongue CD was produced by the label Koch International, which was bought out by Universal several years ago. Universal took the record out of circulation, but later decided to reissue it in the budget price category. To do this, they took off the name “Mother Tongue”, withdrew the booklet, put a new cover on it, moved the first track to the end, and commenced the record somewhere in the middle of the 2nd track. Although you may be able to find the original record in some stores’ stockrooms, the only form of this record that officially still exists for sale is this budget version. We are working on moving the CD to another label, but this will take some time, if it happens at all, so in the meantime, we apologize.
